Stun vs cumulative damage.

Late in the round my opponent's face looks like they are miserable so it's difficult to tell wether it's from a stun or damage building up.

Sometimes I'll go in for the kill because I think I stunned them only to hit them over and over and not get the KO.

Is it the crowd pop? What if they are already cheering from me teeing the guy up?
