How do you get better at clustered designs?

I do okay with minimalistic or organized designs, but when it comes to a more clustered, seemingly care-free look, I’m left clueless. Is there a way to develop a taste for designs like the below? Or is this mostly natural talent? Any tips & tricks or book recommendations on design principles would be greatly appreciated.
