insurance VSP (questions)

Hi, I’m a 21-year-old male and I’m serious about getting a car, but my vision isn’t great. Someone recommended VSP insurance to me, and I have a few questions. Do they cover eye exams? What eyewear brands do they work with? If something happens to my glasses or frames in an emergency, will they repair or replace them? I’ve also been looking into Japanese eyewear brands since they seem to have higher quality and a more unique look—does VSP cover those as well? Also, what plan should I get? Overall, is it worth getting VSP, or should I just pay out of pocket?
