Atomoxetine can start working in the first week.
People keep saying it's not possible and that it is a placebo effect. But I'm here to say after about 9 days I do feel a lot more attentive and less impulsive. My emotional state is a lot easier to manage now to. The first three days I didn't notice anything at all.
The first thing I noticed by day 4 was my emotions where a lot more manageable. I didn't feel like I was being stabbed if someone said they where busy and couldn't hang out. My attention has a minor improvement and my impulsiveness had a minor improvement as well.
By day 6 I was able to sit down and do homework without interruption for about 5 hours. For the first time even I actually was able to follow along with lectures and not be zoned out for an hour straight. This has continued to day 9 and it feels better with each day.
The biggest thing I've noticed is in social settings. I can actually wait my turn and not interrupt people anymore. My mind feels quieter and I don't feel like I have to physically restrict myself from blurting out something dumb.
I still have my moments of inattentiveness and impulsiveness but in the 9 days I've been on this it has went form a 10 to about a 4 in how hard it is to mange.
Some people are just really sensitive to meds and if you look it up it says it is totally possible to experience this.
I'm taking 10mgs to.
