I’m suddenly getting leaks at multiple pex-a fittings in my 11 year old house
I’m the original owner of an 11 year old house south of Phoenix. I’ve never had any issues with the plumbing in the house until about a month ago, when a 3/4-1/2 tee on the hot side developed a slow, dripping leak. I didn’t think much of it and replaced the fitting. Now a month later, I have two more fittings on the hot side with a similar slow, dripping leak. I haven’t made any changes to the house, and as far as I know, everything with the supply to the house is the same (private water company). The pressure to the house measures at 80psi.
Once is an incident, twice is a pattern. Is there something I should be looking or watching for? Is it normal to start having issues with pex-a after a decade? I know that AZ is hard on things, but I’m really hoping that I don’t have to start considering re-plumbing the house. I also don’t want to come home to a burst pipe.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
