How to stop scroll wheel from double swapping?

Is there a way on pc for using scroll wheel to stop double swapping and basically canceling the weapon swap?

It keeps happening where I go to swap to my second weapon but it swaps, then swaps again keeping the original weapon out cause it detects two ticks from my scroll wheel
