Should I pursue this further?
My wife and I are getting quotes for homeowners insurance. We are both over 30. Both have great credit. She is a disabled veteran. My wife is getting the mortgage in her name because my business did not turn a profit this year. I had no income to show. Well, I called the insurance people and they prepared the quote in my name. The lender couldnt accept that, so I told the broker to run it in my wife's name instead. The price went up drastically. Is there a reason this would happen outside of her gender? I mentioned to the broker that mine had 6 discounts listed, opposed to my wife's 5, and she claimed there was no other input she could do to change it. She just puts in the info, and the process are spit out. Am I crazy for being a bit p***ed off about this? Someone explain this to me. This is in Ohio BTW.
