Ulta Credit Card Limit Increase

Is it normal for Ulta to increase your credit card limit without your knowledge? Mine was increased without my knowledge and when I called to discuss it they told me it automatically increases by itself and they don’t know if that affects your credit or not. Have this happened to anyone else before?
