Does this trainer break-up text sound ok to you?

Social

For context, my eldest daughter is on autism spectrum, which does affect her motor skills. She’s high-masking and I don’t think her trainer knows. Is that information I should feel obligated to share? We’ve been there 3-4 months. Little sister is 4, already doing great with 2-point and posting, but because she’s still so young I feel like I need to prioritize my eldest daughter’s experience right now.

Here goes:

“Hey! Just wanted to thank you for an amazing beginner experience for the girls. I’m getting the vibe that [Eldest Daughter] may have plateaued on [Lesson Horse X]—she’s just having a really hard time maintaining balance on a tall horse and having the courage to get forward movement. Hunt seat equitation is so important, but my instinct is that she might be better starting out in a western saddle. I think it’s hard for her to see little sis doing so well while she’s struggling.

I’m going to have the girls try a few western riding lessons to gain some confidence, but I really hope we might come back someday. Your girls are awesome and everyone has been so kind and patient with them. I’m really grateful to you all for everything. 🫶🏻”

Thanks for helping me over-think this—it’s a small town and I don’t want to ruffle feathers. 😉
