Friend uploaded pictures of our kids to AI services

Discussion

Just need somewhere to vent.

We've spent an enormous effort on keeping our kids' faces away from social media sites. Every time we meet up with friends we've explained that we're fine but if they upload pictures online - anywhere really - they need to hide the kids' faces. We've had friends who forget and still do it, so every time we meet up with anyone we need to stalk their social media profiles over the coming days and remind them to take down the pictures when they inevitably upload them.

Had some friends over and we did some christmas baking. Just got sent a link to a ChatGPT session where they've uploaded a picture of both our kids where the face is fully visible in crisp quality.

I guess it's my own fault for not specifying every single service or homepage they can't upload to but JFC if you tell someone to not upload pictures to social media because we don't want their pictures out and about harvested by AI services, what reasonable person thinks "social media is off limits, but they didn't say anything about ChatGPT or Dall-E"?

How do you guys deal with keeping pictures of your kids off the interwebs?
