WORRIED, HELP!!

Hey guys so around April I had a mole looking spot show up on my arm and I was so scared that it was a type of skin cancer. I would look at it and it wouldn’t sit right with me, I have terrible health anxiety so seeing this new spot triggered my anxiety so much but I didn’t have insurance nor money to go see a dermatologist!!! So around August I was able to land a full time job and as soon as I had money I went to a dermatologist. Since the first time I saw it to the day they removed it, it had gotten itchy like 2 times it literally got big and pimple like and it was sooooo itchy but it went away within 2 minutes and that had only happened twice. When the itchiness happened I was like let me go see a dermatologist now that I have money. Fast forward the derm said she didn’t think it was malignant but she was gonna biopsy it to make sure. This Monday I went to see the derm and she said I had a rare disease! She was talking about mast cell disease. I was so scared my heart was pounding the words she was saying sounded like a type of cancer. She asked me questions and checked my body for more lesions. I was so scared and I asked her if it was cancer and if I was gonna die. She said no to both. She sent me to get labs done it was to check my tryptsae level. She gave me a paper of my diagnosis I’ll insert a picture rn. But I was doing research of this and I keep hearing “rare blood cancer” I’m so scared I’m only 20 I don’t want to die! Help. I pray I don’t have it systematic. She said she didn’t think it was that she just thought it was in that one spot. But is that even possible? All this research I’m doing seems like it’s not.

THE DIAGNOSIS:

MASTOCYTOSIS

The specimen shows a mast cell infiltrate. These findings could be consistent with a solitary mastocytoma. However, clinical correlation is necessary to exclude diffuse cutaneous mastocytosis, urticaria pigmentosa or systemic mast cell disease.
