Protection Order (????)

My cousin got a protection order against my grandfather. I live with my grandfather. I’m an adult. I wasn’t in court, so I didn’t think I was involved. Grandfather says I’m supposed to tell the lawyer if my cousin contacts me. He’s known to lie so I don’t trust him. Plus, me and my cousin have no issues between us. Do I have to cut off my cousin?
