Does GPU Upgrade for this CPU/Mobo Combo make sense?

Hi all,

the pc of my wife needs an update. we want to start gaming again after more than a year.

i'm wondering if it makes sense to put a Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 9070 XT in this PC setup which currently still rocks a 1070 ti.

Let me know what you think. Any other small upgrade that would make sense? Or should i throw this thing out?

She still has a 1080p screen. No plan on upgrading currently, max would be WQHD anyway.
We played Overwatch mostly on this machine, we would like to test current shooters, Anno.
