My card isn't working for an invoice.

So here's what's going on right now.

My credit card expired last month and I got a new one that same month. Fast forward to today, an artist I'm commissioning sends an invoice. I try to pay with my card but I forgot to update the card information. So I do just that and it still won't go through, it keeps telling me "This card can't be used for this transaction". So, I'm not sure what to do here and I could really use some help right now.
