Anxiety induced by parents
Does anyone else have a constant anxious feeling around their parents even if you're not doing anything wrong? I literally feel like they're going to scream and scold me everytime i'm even aware they're around. They dont scold me as much after I graduated highschool recently but that constant anticipation that theyre going to almost EVERY time they're around me is really taking a toll on me mentally, especially now when im home all day and i feel it more now when im only doing online school. I also used to get hit by my father as a kid and i literally feel like he's still going to do it everytime im around him even when he hasnt done it in ages.
A side note: I also have adhd and before i had access to meds it felt like hell always being talked down to by them and hearing them talk about how lazy and dissapointing I am. The pressure I felt academically was so bad and I just felt trapped and still do.
I literally feel like the world is going to end if I dont get a good mark on an test, or if I'm not constantly "doing something" to work towards my future. I know they only try to help but the anxiety is honestly destroying me and making it so much harder to study, or find work, or anything.
Idk, any advice or experiences from anyone abt something similar feel free to share
