Guidance please, pretty please

So I had a helix that I hadnt put anything in for like 2 years and I found out it was still open (albeit not very big) like I could stick a little earing with the thin back in it but when I tried to put a 16ish gauge clasp earing in it wasnt going so i used some lube and (non sterile) jewlery and got it in there. Im pretty sure its starting to get infected, but actually has gotten slightly better after I changed it from that pretty snug clasp hoop to a 16g horseshoe. I'm still getting paranoid about infection bc shes still warm and kind of red but there isnt major puss but im wondering if I should just continue to clean it and hope, go to the doctors and get on antibiotics OR go to my piercing shop and wonder if they should clean it and put sterile, non- hoop, jewlery in it? I know I wasnt being wise sanitarily but swag is swag im just paying the consequences of my actions but please help kind people thank you.
