How to itemize Dragon Knight? How itemization should differ between pos 1 and pos 3 DK?

Guides are all over the place. I kinda understand that you want to blink + fire + stun someone to death while still being very tanky, but there seems to be several ways to do it. Mask of Madness and Armlet or Bloodthorn. What's the right choice?
