32[M4F] is it possible to Feel anything again?
So the year is almost over yet again, I'm sitting here realizing that it's been about 4 years since I've been intimate with someone. I know alot of that was because of a horrible ending to a relationship, but that was almost 4 years ago, and even though I'm healed from that, I guess there are still pieces of me that I would like to put back together. I'm pretty content with life overall, but i realize I'm just numb. I don't feel anything, and I wonder if that's how things go as you get older and keep meeting the wrong people? I guess in a way I've given up on trying to meet people, because nothing really ever seems to work or last. There's like a huge disconnect with people, it's almost like I'm talking to NPC's or i feel like an alien lol. I guess I've had a pretty hard life ( as far as north america goes), but i realize that people who haven't faced much adversity aren't able to understand me. Adversity builds character right? I value conversations and being seen/heard. Like truly being understood but maybe that's where the problem lies, people just struggle to truly understand eachother.
Anyways, I'm a 32 year old single straight male living in SF. I know I'm not alone in struggling to find connections here. I've been thinking maybe a change of scenery could help, but here I am still. I will always love SF but I guess it's a love-hate relationship. I'm a chill open-minded, level-headed guy. I love animals, exploring the region, concerts, videogames, comedy, food, themeparks, and trying to enjoy the limited time we have left on this planet. I know this post might not seem the most light-hearted but laughing is one of the most enjoyable parts of life, so yeah even though i love deep conversations, I'd like to find someone who is a little goofy themselves and someone who does want to feel something again, including laughter.
Let me know if anyone resonates with this. Maybe we could rebuild something together? However & whatever that looks like.
