I have a question regarding upgrading skills and weapons.

I didn't play the game yet because I'm still waiting for it to become available on mobile, but I have a question about the skills tree if that is something in the game and about upgrading in general. If I messed up the upgrading by upgrading a skill or weapon that shouldn't be upgraded for example, is it possible to reset the points used? Or in the end all of the skills and upgradeables will be upgraded without having some skills left out?
