Can A1 EVO make Multieq XT AVR sound better than Multieq XT32's AVR?

I'm still learning about this. Just curious, can A1 EVO make Multieq XT AVR (X1800H) sound about the same or better than Multieq XT32's AVR(X3800H) with only Audessey? Or it's determined by the hardware of the AVR as well?
