i was bitten and scratched yesterday by 2 separate cats that were both vaccinated (unsure if it was their first vax) 8 days prior. they were in a shelter

basically what the title says. i went to the hospital today and they said no vaccine unless they show symptoms. the one that bit is in quarantine and the one that scratched is my cat. rabies is my biggest health anxiety trigger and i dont know if ill ever be okay again. i read that the first rabies vaccine they get isnt completely effective until a month after they get it and i dont know if that was their first one or just a booster. I have read the FAQ.
