Gpu? CPU?- Motherboard? Help out!

Hello! Im looking at upgrading my pc, or at least my GPU and CPU

Thèse are my current specs.

Windows 11 Intel Core i5 8400 – 6 cores / 6 threads ID-Cooling RGB CPU-cooler Gigabyte H310M S2P motherboard 16 GB DDR4 RAM (Dual Channel) NVIDIA GTX 1060 6 GB (ASUS) 500W power supply 223 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD (1,2 TB together)

my biggest question is regarding my motherboard, I think it only supports 8th and 9th gen processors, so maybe I should get a new motherboard?- but what cpu should I then get, and if I get a new motherboard should I then consider one compatible with AMD, because I use my pc for gaming?- and then which gpu is the best to buy?

I was thinking of buying the 5060 RTX PALIT 8gb GDDR7

Please help me out!

If I need a new motherboard, gpu and cpu, what options do I have, and is there a way to do it without breaking the bank?
