Accounts created on one platform should be able to buy things on another

Been seeing a lot of posts about people being unable to buy things on steam cause they initially created their character on PS5. This is really something the devs should fix.

We can't buy the battle pass, echo beads, monthly passes or anything at all. If you buy the battle pass on PS5, you can't claim things on PC. It just seems like a really bad choice and a big damper on the cross-progression of a really fun game.

I'm now trying to delete my character on Netease so I can link a new steam character to my netease account that uses my main email and it's a huge hassle.

Like they make you wait 14 days before they start the process, and then it says it could take up to 30 days for it to finish. They also ask to send proof of identity by sending a screenshot of Netease purchases in the last 3 months. I haven't bought anything on that account and I just want it deleted, so how can I send proof?

All emails to customer support just have them send you some copy/paste response.
