Educational system not being held accountable for their False Advertising.
Why is it that regular businesses get sued for making promises they don’t deliver on, yet we can’t demand a refund for a degree when it doesn’t lead to a job?
I grew up being told (basically brainwashed) that if you earn your degree, you’ll find work in your field. So where’s the job I was promised? Why can’t I walk back into my university, call them out, and ask for my $100K back? How is this not standard practice? How are we letting an entire education system get away with selling a dream that doesn’t match reality?
A hundred grand later and the only CS-related work we can land is fucking technicians at Verizon. What a sick joke.
