How do guys feel get a note from strangers with a number

I’m a college student and last night I got locked out of my room. While waiting at the front desk, I saw the RA on duty working on math problems—he looked really focused (and honestly, pretty cute). I didn’t want to interrupt him during his shift, so for the first time ever, I left a note with my number saying that if he’s open to it, I’d like to get to know him. Since we’re complete strangers, I’m wondering: how do guys usually perceive something like this? I know everyone’s different, but I’m curious what the general reaction would be.q
