Men aren't worse at being alone than women nowadays, everyone is lonelier and it's harder for the people expected to take the first steps forming romantic relationships
It's easier to be lonely when you expect that others will enter your space to attempt to connect with you. It's harder to be lonely when you are the one expected to enter others' space and don't know when, where, or how to.
Yes, I know not every woman wants every guy who is interested in them. Not every man wants very woman interested in them, either. The point is, lonely people without connections tend to have an easier time meeting people when people come to them, and it tends to be women who have the people coming to them because of societal norms.
It's like a person who gets job offers telling someone looking for a job that they're not content enough with their unemployment. Of course a person who gets job offers would be more content with unemployment.
However, this is not justification for being a miserable asshole just because you're alone.
Sure, technically it's harder to form relationships when you make the first move than when you take the passive role, but what's the point of complaining? There's nothing to do about the fact that it's unfair. At the end of the day, you have to make the best of your situation and you can't do that by lamenting the fact that it's not a different, hypothetical ideal situation.
I get explaining to people that loneliness is harder when you are expected to go into others' space to form connections. That's why I made this. Because it's pretty unproductive when women are like "I'm so fine being alone and all those men complaining need to learn how to be as fine with it as me."
Most of those men complaining can't be as fine with loneliness because they don't believe all they have to do is wait for the right woman to come into their lives.
But what we do with that knowledge is foster understanding instead of complaining. Because going "wah, this is so bad and it sucks and it's so unfair" in more and more elaborate and dramatic words does absolutely nothing to fix the situation. Understanding is necessary, excessive whining is not.
