Reco Needed - Gun Bag light

Hi All, I want to keep a small but fairly powerful flashlight in my Gun/Range Bag for checking chambers, repairs if needed, etc. What light/battery type would you recommend? Something that will be ready to go but seldom used, could sit for months. Hold a charge, etc. Thank you.
