Barthollem's Warmaul Purifier; cooking or cooked?
Melee purifier building around Barthollem's Warmaul using Fire Strike as the primary skill. Saw the item while looking through Grim Tools and figured it might be fun to make a build using it. I've gotten to level 40ish so far and really enjoying how much I'm face rolling content on normal, filling out resistances before I jump up to elite/ultimate.
Thermite Mine + Aura of Censure is the main reason for going Purifier over other options. It's relatively easy to hit -70% Fire Resistance and with the right affixes, possible to cap them both and get -75%.
Word of Renewal seems good all around, and Deadly Aim works on melee attacks. Inquisitor Seal gives Damage Absorption and increases health regen. Is it worth putting points in it past cap?
Can also dip into Flashbang/Storm Box for DA shred and Ulzuin's Wrath for the reduced target's damage.
There's a lot of MIs and affixes that support the key skills, but doesn't seem like there's a lot of Epic/Legendary items that are good for this? They all seem to be pointed towards either ranged builds (given Inquisitor's WPS) or other damage skills (especially lightning damage).
Not sure which relic would be best. Ignaffar's Combustion has another RR proc on attack. Annihilation/Ulzuin's Pyroclasm/Bane all give bonuses to the right damage type and masteries (get most benefit overall from demo boost, but it's harder to hard cap Aura without the Inquisitor bonus).
At level 100, I'd be looking at something like THIS. Health, armour absorption, and physical resistance are a little low for my liking. I think I remember you want 15k hp, 90-100% damage absorption, but not sure what phys resist to aim for. I play on HC so I'm going a little harder on making sure defenses are solid and resists are overcapped where possible
Thoughts/feedback/suggestions? Part of me is wondering if I'm not better off going a different mastery over Inquisitor instead and ignoring the bonuses to Aura of Censure.
