Tanchji ONE no audio and iffy connection issues

Hi, I recently got a tanchim one for daily use. I noticed that the connection was super iffy as in sometimes when I plugged it in, my phone or laptop wouldn't even register it. When it does register it, it doesn't have any audio output or the audio output is extremely low.

The usbc doesnt look damaged or anything so I don't know what's wrong. Did I get a lemon? I was thinking maybe it was just the wire but I don't have any other cables atm to switch them out and test it immediately
