I love Terry and would support him fully if he gets the job, though I'm not convinced he’s the best candidate remaining. What I’m struggling with is how often people say Terry deserves the HC job and then immediately pivot to treating him like a short-term placeholder (short-term contract...) and a cheaper one at that.

We can’t promote someone with an asterisk. If Penn State chooses Terry, it has to be with full conviction: a real 4–5 year runway and a market-level HC package. Otherwise we’re setting him up to fail before he even starts. How are we supposed to recruit players when their head coach is treated like a provisional temp? Let's do it the right way if it's Terry.
