Similarities between ME and The Foundation

I’m probably late to the party 🎉 as I usually am. So I’ve been working early and late and have little time to unwind right now, also coupled with my hubs abused my Xbox remote so stick drift is making my games no bueno to play. Mainly though I only have at most 2 hrs of downtime after putting kids to sleep and going down for the night before early work shift so I’ve been binge watching shows.

Just starting watching the Foundation (just finished season 1) and see so many similarities to ME that I’m wanting to start another play though.

Are they related at all? Did one take inspiration from the other?
