Hello! I know this is probably the hundredth post with housing ideas, but I’ve played a lot of games with different levels of housing systems. I’ve been talking about this with friends who play (and even some who don’t, because housing is fun to ramble about), and they suggested I share my thoughts here. These aren’t in a strict order, but #1 is absolutely the feature I want most.

These are mostly in no particular order, but #1 is definitely my most-desired feature.

**1. Templates + Export Codes** \- Being able to save housing layouts as templates would let players switch between different designs without rebuilding every time. Export codes would allow players to share these templates with others, similar to transmog or UI imports. This creates a larger creative community where people can trade layouts or use them as a base for their own ideas.

**2. Guestbook / Home Likes** \- A guestbook gives visitors a simple way to leave a “like” or short message when they visit a home. This would add a nice social element to housing without being intrusive. It also rewards players who put effort into decorating by giving them visible feedback.

**3. Public Dashboard of Homes -** A dashboard would allow players to upload their homes publicly with a name, theme, or category. Other players could browse the list and instantly teleport to those homes to check them out. This would encourage exploration, showcase creativity, and let decorators reach a wider audience.

**4. Entry Notifications -** Simple notifications—similar to guild log alerts—would tell a player when someone enters their home. It helps players feel connected to their space and know when their designs are being enjoyed, without forcing them to stay online inside the house.5. Item Grouping - Item grouping would allow multiple placed objects to be “linked” together and moved as a single unit. This saves a huge amount of time when adjusting complex builds, such as custom furniture or decorative structures. It also makes fine-tuning layouts much easier, especially for players who like making detailed or layered designs.

I’m really excited to see where housing goes, and a lot of these ideas come from systems I’ve enjoyed in games like FFXIV, Infinity Nikki, and other creative hubs. While I enjoy housing in other games, it immediately felt so much more exciting for me to start working on a creative project in a game that I consider my "home" and have for over 20 years. I’ve been having a blast with WoW’s housing since it launched, and I’d love to see it grow into something even more social and expressive. Even a few of these features would make a big difference for players who enjoy decorating and sharing their work.

\*\* And if anyone wants to let me come look at their designs, I’d love to check them out!
