ICON doesn't even want me! :(

Is it a sign to give up when ICON doesn't even want me for a Clinical Trial Assistant position? Ha! I kid - sorta.

I've been a CTC for almost two years, have Bachelors and Masters degrees, had a 20+ year career in healthcare before switching to clinical research, and have submitted hundreds of applications since the summer to no avail. I am unable to travel due to having young children and a husband with a demanding career, and fixed to our current location (small metro area in the mid-south), so remote work is necessary.

Any words of advice on what I can be doing differently? Is it ageism? Is it my advanced degrees turning people off thinking I'd want a higher salary? It is bum luck of not being able to travel?
