Barry Sanders Leaves Thursday Night Football Game Midway through Third Quarter

Saying he "got the gist" and "really wanted to beat traffic," Detroit Lions great Barry Sanders was seen heading for the parking lot midway through the third quarter of Thursday's pivotal matchup between the Lions and the Dallas Cowboys.

"They're going to go up and down the field in both directions a few more times," Barry mentioned to his wife, "and I guess eventually one team will have more points than the other. Doesn't make me hate getting stuck in that backup at Grand River any less."

Sources reported Sanders "didn't regret" missing a couple of routine Jahmyr Gibbs touchdowns or a touching split screen video tribute displaying each player's first 47 touchdowns side by side.
