I need some help

I am just going to write some background.

I (M16) am an instructor at my martial arts club and help teach the kids classes. A good friend of mine (F15) is also an instructor and we often teach the same classes. A lot of the kids think that we are dating (we are not). Yesterday she wrote to me that she thinks that we should pretend to be dating to prank the kids. I’ve talked to some of my other friends and they all interpret it as her having feelings for me. Am I correct or just overthinking?
