Lords/Factions recommended for multiplayer campaigns

I started playing some campaigns in twh3 with a friend, which is a lot of fun. However, we're struggling to pick out fair matchups, and thus one player often has a rough experience. Therefore, I wanted to ask for some recommendations.

We're looking for a pair of lords that is similarly powerful (if one faction is absolutely bonkers, it's fine if the other is too), not too far apart (but also not too close, should be around 30-50 turns before the real beef starts) and to have a "fair" matchup, that is fun to play in battles and not just "you have all flyers and I am playing Vampire Counts" 😂

I'm open to recommendations, as well as other bits of advice you might have to make campaigns more fun
