Vollrath Aluminum Brazier discoloration - still safe?

I've owned this Vollrath Aluminum brazier for years but, honestly, rarely use it. Something I cooked (don't remember) discolored the inside.

1. Can I get back the natural aluminum color?

2. Is it safe to use with the discoloration?
