Feeling disillusioned with some of the comments I've seen
I'm currently on day 4 of quitting and feeling like Hell. While I often see people saying it's the best decision they ever made and they wouldn't go back now, I also see tonnes of people saying they've been quit for 5, 10, 20, 40 years and they still get cravings from time to time. I'm terrified of that. I don't want this to be sometimes I have to deal with for the rest of my life. But I'm pretty heavily addicted and have failed multiple attempts in the past (longest was 4 weeks), so I'm sure I will probably be one of those people. I don't know what to make of it right now, it's just scaring me to think that my whole future could be set by nicotine and I could be fighting the rest of my life.
