Sweetwater guitar shipping? Not in case design for guitar

I’m frustrated because I bought a guitar and a case through a Sweetwater rep over the phone, and the website recommended that case specifically because it’s a “super fit” and offers the option to ship the guitar inside the case for better protection.

I assumed that’s what would happen, but the rep shipped them separately in two boxes.

Now I’m worried about the guitar arriving safely.

I called another rep, and they told me that Sweetwater’s normal packaging is actually safer than shipping it in the case, which doesn’t make sense to me — especially since the website promotes the case as better protection. It felt like they were just giving me BS sales talk to calm me down....

Overall, I’m annoyed because I paid based on certain expectations and found out after the fact that they weren’t followed, and the explanation I got didn’t feel genuine. Now I just have to hope nothing happens to the guitar during shipping.

What do you guys think about this? Is the statement they told me actually true?
