LinkUW - any UW folks know much about this?

I heard about further centralization efforts a few weeks ago and after reading about it online, it honestly sounds horrific. It sounds like all school/unit/department business services offices moving to this central location and employees don't really get a say? There will be nobody local or down the hall to talk to when you have a question? If there's a work issue, we won't have anyone around to talk to but will have to fill out an online form and some unknown person will email us back?
It sounds like this will deeply effect the work environment for all employees (including faculty) so I'm surprised it wasn't talked about more. The website says the LinkUW team has been providing updates to shared governance bodies and "considering the perspectives" but it sounds like this is happening and there is no say for other employees.
