Evolution Gaming - 1,000 runs on Casino Hold'Em (TRAGIC)

Hi all, I was stupid and curious about the casino hold'em game on Evolution Live & wanted me to test a large sample size. It was painful. Sharing for the community to see.

So the game is basic heads up Texas Hold'em, you place an ante bet before the dealer deals your 2 cards. Keep in mind this is live so you have a time limit of placing the bet or the round starts.

Dealer then deals your 2 cards and the flop (first 3 cards). You make a decision to "play" (2x ante bet) or fold your cards and throw away your ante.

When you "play" the dealer must "qualify" with pair of 4s or better. If the dealer does not have anything, you ONLY win your ante bet & your "play" bet gets refunded (even if you have a royal flush).

This is where the casino gets their odds.

If the dealer does qualify, they can beat you and take your bets or pay you if you win. The payouts on "play" are 1:1.

The payouts on the ante are 1:1 unless you have a:
Flush - 2:1
Full House - 3:1
Quads - 10:1
Straight Flush - 20:1
Royal Flush - 100:1

There's also the option to bet on a bonus, which pays out if you get the following on the flop:
Aces/2Pair/Trips/Straight - 7:1
Flush - 20:1
Full House - 30:1
Quads - 40:1
Straight Flush - 50:1
Royal Flush - 100:1

Back to the test runs, n = 1,000, $1 placed on Ante, $0.25 on Bonus (if your cards & the flop make aces, trips, or better)

Won 182 rounds, pushed 44, lost 774. If we count 3 pushes as a win (pushes pay back 1/3 of the total ante + "play" bet), we would get 196.7 wins, at a disgusting 25.4% win rate.
I lost $2,322 here.

This was a money burner, you're better off blind all inning at the poker tables.

From the 182 rounds won, I had 6 flushes and 1 full house.

I started getting delusional and felt it was actually rigged.

Funny enough from the lost rounds, I had 41 flushes, 8 full houses, 2 quads (lower kicker). But you don't get paid out for those when you lose.

For the bonuses it doesn't get better. Although you get paid bonuses even if you lose the round, out of 1,000 it hit 53 times. 46 were Aces/2Pair/Trips/Straight, 5 Flushes, 1 Full House, 1 Straight Flush.
At $2 per bet, I ended up losing $100 here.

In conclusion, save your money. Don't bet on Evolution Live's Casino Hold'Em. I think a 1,000 sample size and my money sacrificed is a good enough incentive to push you spend yours elsewhere.
