Actual width of the Luxe drip coffee maker?

I've seen the dimensions on the site, but every pictures shows the basket and carafe with the handles out. It's not clear if the basket locks into place with the handle out, or if the listed width includes the width of the handle. We're working in a pretty tight space but the removable water tank makes this almost perfect...IF it will fit.

Can anyone weigh in on the ACTUAL "narrowest" exterior dimensions of the coffee maker (i.e., handles in)?
