How to respond to people asking if we’re “trying”
For some background, my husband and I got married in June, and ever since, people have been asking if we were “trying” for kids. I have always wanted to be a mom and just turned 37 a few weeks ago, so the subject has always made me overly-sensitive. I am currently miscarrying now…I found out at 11+3 and the baby likely made it to about 8 weeks, which unfortunately was on my birthday. When people asked if we were trying before I became pregnant, I felt super emotional because I was so afraid it wouldn’t happen for us. When we were asked if we were trying while I was pregnant and it was still a secret, I was able to brush off the question easily. Now the thought of that question….I cry easily and I just want to hide away in a cave for fear of this subject coming up and not being able to hold it together. Any advice on how you have handled this or if you can relate is very much appreciated. Thank you ❤️
