LOR process confusion

Hi! I’m planning to apply to Canadian law schools for the next cycle, mostly Ontario schools through OLSAS but also a few outside Ontario.

I’ve already asked someone to write me a letter of recommendation, but I’m confused about the timing.

I think OLSAS doesn’t open until August for the next application cycle so does that mean I can’t send my recommender the upload link right now?

Also, if I apply to several schools outside Ontario, will my recommender end up receiving multiple upload links (one per school), and is that typical?

I just don’t want to inconvenience them, and I’m not sure what to say to them right now since it was for a job I did this summer and I don’t want to drag it on for too long. On top of that, I haven’t really considered in detail which schools I’ll apply to, so I’m feeling a bit confused and lost. Any advice or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
