Is one stick of DDR5 Ram really that bad?

Build Question

I'm not that experienced in the tight details of PCs, but I'm helping build one for my girlfriend since I know my way around them and I'm looking at 16 gb of DDR5 ram 6000 single stick for about 30-50 dollars cheaper than most dual sticks of ddr5 ram. I also wanna leave future room for upgrade for her since with these ram prices 32 GB is impossible right now while on a budget. Anyways, would it really be that bad to do some light gaming on a single stick of 16gb? (Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, Fortnite, Minecraft, other story games like Life is Strange, etc.)
