Tourists, you are late for christmas eve and christmas day lunch/dinner. STOP ASKING.
As the title says. You - are - late.
If you are a tourist visiting any city or town in Spain for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, YOU. ARE. LATE.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the whole country shuts down (except for public services like hospitals, police, firefighters, gas stations, you get it). But places like restaurants, bars, hangouts, are booked or closed (businesses like malls, stores, etc close early on Christmas Eve).
"Hi folks, im [tourist] me and my family will be in [insert spanish city or town] on Christmas eve/day, and we are looking for recommendations to eat, thank you!
Unless you want chinese food or McDonalds, nothing is open, or it is booked. Some restaurants are open, and serve special Christmas menus, but to do that you need to book 2-3 months in advance. Yeah, that's right. If you did not book a restaurant from September to October for Christmas Eve/Day, you are not going out to eat anywhere.
Places like Madrid and Barcelona get a bit of a break because they are international cosmopolitan cities, but smaller cities (except for the capital cities of Autonomous communities) are different, when it comes to holidays.
If you have not booked a restaurant before November for Christmas Eve/Day, you are not going to eat.
