What are your insights about Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid? Is it a good car for beginners?

I am planning to acquire a car for everyday use but yet to decide which brand and unit. One of my choices is the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid. As a beginner, of course, I am planning to buy a second-hand unit first, before a brand new one. Is it better or just acquire a brand new? Well, I also can't decid about that. Just want to consider the your comments first based on experience and personal opinions.
