Mobile network throttling 5G when tethering to PC

Hello!

Years ago I used to be able to tether my phone for online gaming as a backup if there were issues with my broadband. At some point Vodafone have started throttling the connection when tethering (if I run a speed test on the PC it'll get much worse results than if I run one on the phone directly. Same problem when tethering over USB or using wifi hotspot). Anyone know if this is a thing with all networks in Ireland now or maybe there's one that doesn't do it?
