do Xylimelts help dry mouth and dry eyes?

Prediagnosis vent/questions

My dry eyes are tolerable during the day, when I am blinking a lot, unless I'm under a fan. But they dry up at night when I am sleeping. I only notice once I wake up and then I have to blink a lot to get tears moving again.

But I never noticed that my mouth was particularly dry until recently, when I started having reflux at night and noticed my teeth don't feel right. In an effort to increase saliva production to save my teeth (among other things I'm trying to help with reflux), I started using xylimelts at night and it helped a lot.

My teeth feel smooth and normal again since they are more moist.

But I noticed that if I forget to pop a xylimelt before bed, I wake up with dry mouth and dryer eyes than if I use the mints. Has anyone else noticed this.

Does having more saliva in the mouth also bring tears to the eyes?

More info: I have been on Plaquenil for about a month and I have seen improvement to joint stiffness in my fingers, and some improvement to my skin.
