Aloof Bus SPED Driver and Helper

Our school district contracts their bus system to a private company that is often hit or miss with it's staff. In previous years, there are great staff who care and want to help. And others, just don't.

My kid wears a vest that connects to a seat but she's beginning to outgrow the need for it. We've scheduled a meeting with my kid's school, my kid's BCBA and I are in agreement to trial without the vest for a couple weeks, and the school has agreed.

The bus driver and helper are often on their phones, slow to respond, aloof to putting up the stop sign at our stop on a busy street. There's nothing immediately wrong but at what point do I mention this to the private company? There's nothing wrong with how they'd do things on a non-SPED bus.

Am I being a bitch about this?
